O’Learys

O’Learys

A Poem by Alexandra

Stephanie said I’m too smart to possibly let this happen to me
That any man would love to have me and take care of me
But, what if I’m uninhabitable?

My mother has been alone for a decade
Maybe my intent is to follow the same path

At 1:43 AM in a Jersey City Pub
I was hugged by two woman that only look out for my mental health
Because I can’t even take care of that anymore

My poems have been an access for those to know the truth
And if you read this
Don’t come close
