Gorgeous

Gorgeous

A Poem by Alexandra

No one ever really asked why she dyed her hair black
It happened on a cold day in April
Looking at herself in the mirror
She saw her light blond hair & remembered who she did this for

Wasn't for her own
But, for him.
In anticipation that he would see she was the same girl from 2016.

A fool
An imbecile!
She grabbed the ebony dye & poured it over her head
Seeping in her skin, she grinned

"Oh thank God," she whispered, "I'm purified once again."
