Dysthymia of the Heart

Dysthymia of the Heart

A Poem by Alexandra

Turning to meet your eyes every morning

You poured love into me daily

Filling holes I didn’t even know I had

Generating an infinite love in my heart

That could drown all sins that inhabited the crevices

Turning to meet your eyes every other afternoon

You don’t look my way anymore

Digging holes that you filled

Generating an anxiety that burdens my heart

That could drown my whole being

ok, i keep looking at writing and this poem always catches my eye. i read it everytime i pass it and i just can't wrap my head around it. it's good but i'm also extremely confused and the words just get jumbled up in my brain. dont get me wrong, it's not a bad poem. it's just a lot in a little. the title is 10/10 very compelling.
