It is Only Me and the Sea

It is Only Me and the Sea

A Poem by Jacob
"

I wrote this about a dear friend :)

"

From the heart of my island I peer,

Gazing far into the infintismal pools of blue.

The clouds on the horizon mere specks in light of them.

The Moon sparkles upon those smooth sapphire seas, and I feel at home.

I creep to the shores,

that I might look closer;

See deeper;

Hear the warm, soft breeze.

The seascape sits before me.

A Jewel in the crown of nature.

It is only now I see the wall has crumbled,

The swells having gently eroded it away.

I awake from my trance with a jolt,

The fear grips me,

An earthquake in my chest.

But the wind blows gently in my ear once more.

Nothing to fear dearheart.
