Dreams Never Last

Dreams Never Last

A Poem by ANDREW

"Dreams Never Last"
By: Andrew Stroud

My heart skipped beats,
My mind raced too,
That's the way I felt,
When I was with you.
...
When I was with you,
Time stood still,
Life became a fantasy,
and nothing seemed real.

Nothing seemed real,
but it felt so right,
when you were in my arms,
holding me tight.

Holding me tight,
forever it seemed,
and for those moments,
I lived in my dreams.

I lived in my dreams,
I was having a blast,
but it's like they say,
"Dreams never last."

Dreams never last,
and I guess they're right,
because here I am,
Alone tonight.

This is done so well. The rhyming is seamless and I love your use of the last line as the next stanzas first line. Excellent.
