Nights Distress

Nights Distress

A Poem by iandyou.

Staying awake , to the smell of cigarettes,
Another night with all these regrets,
Exhaling lies and all your secrets,
Inhaling fear and empty threats..

Now i'm alive , looking for more,
and what i see , i'm just not sure,
Trying to resist your careless allure,
Left behind , seeking a cure..

A moment of truth , a mere disguise,
Another one of your hundred alibis,
Bound by all your pretentious lies,
All i hear now are my own dreary cries,

Close my eyes and feel the heat,
Puff away to a life obsolete,
Desire , my friend , you i have lost,
I wish not to know , when my world will defrost.
