Don't Tread On MeA Poem by JamesI guess this is my way of talking to myself, My pursuit of happiness is on foot, so I decided to walk. Chewed up and spit out, I realize my full potential. To exploit this gift, to manipulate those who oppose. You can't hide from it, you had it coming. Death is too easy for people like you, you deserve to live, To endure the hardships of an idiot. The veil no longer sways, I see through you and all of your foul play, Leech, lying low down in the gutter, You should've known not to latch onto a poisonous snake, Teeth scrape my scales, irritating, but I'll live. My blood would've been too much for you anyway, Not ready to taste the fury that pumps through these veins, Don't tread on me.
