What's What

What's What

A Poem by James

Mind pioneer, sailing my sea of doubt in hope of inner peace,
Reluctant to fight, I stand my ground in a new land.
They see me as an intruder, I consider myself as a guest.
Judgment runs faster here, it's a lot for my heart to witness.
Deafening voices tell me I'm not good enough for you,
That's alright, you can be a fool by yourself.

I'm in no rush, no hurry to see you fall. Suffer,
Learn, grown, and die, like those before us.
I built this place with my hands, step down, whelp.
Your acidic tongue holds no power in my heart,
But my heart holds power, immense energy ripping it at the seams.
A noose constructed by an old friend, too weak to hold me.

All I can do is tell you what's what, and nothing more.

It's always good to not consider yourself an "intruder" if you step foot on foreign soil. But if people were to judge or criticize you for your decision, you must set them straight and tell them "what's what" as you and the title says. It's always best for people to hear and understand your side of a situation. In the end, it doesn't really matter what others may think about you or where you come from, it's all about your views and how you approach everything and everyone around you.
