I Am The King

I Am The King

A Poem by James
"

I was angry when I wrote this.

"
My soul has defeated you in a thousand life times,
And a thousand more to come.
Old enemies never cease to reappear,
Vengeance is indulgent.
Fight or perish, that's the only rule now.
So, don't act like you're a man of higher standing,
Because I will rip you of your ego.
Teach you what it means to be indifferent.
Wear that badge of ignorance,
Reality will it rip it off of your chest,
You're nothing to me, I am a catalyst.
Explosive emotion, eager to do harm.
Long live the king,
He who sits on a throne of conviction,
Destroyer of hearts, wearing a crown of deviance
I am the king.

James another powerful and decisive and defiant pice of writing with great pace and flow which throws the reader from blow to powerful blow. One small suggestion:
'Reality will it rip it off of your chest,' I found this was a little clumsy in the piece. The of is redundant and removing it would help but better still might be:
'Reality will it rip it from your chest,'

That was really powerful and so full of emotion, I like how you weaved "long live the king" into it as well. Love this!

You must be very mad when you wrote this poem. But I love the way you showed courage :)

"My soul has defeated you in a thousand life times,
And a thousand more to come"

~I looove this line best!
