cunning lungs

cunning lungs

A Poem by seath

the

cunning lungs

once or for the tenth time,

i beheld those rosy mountaintops.

while the atmosphere’s pale

and my pupils are somewhat eager.

i rest my head on two outstretched logs,

as they pose for sleekness and luster

they were bent without any traces

of fear for any kind of despair

a threshold! Indeed, it was!

of a chaste and clandestine garden.

i bowed. then my eyes fell for wonder-

for those short curly ferns

surrounded a clear spring

oozing with a sap "scented stream.

i swept the curls aside,

and with excitement

quenched the tide,

which I had felt,

upon

gazing

on an

inviting

spring.

and

then

i

realized

i

had

been

living

.

You give this a melancholy feel and a deliverance in the the ending... giving the reader a place and time... viewed by the atmosphere of thoughts around you...
