The River of Forgetfulness

The River of Forgetfulness

A Poem by seath
"

''the experience seems still to be so vivid, her face.... those traces which we, alone, could only reminisce.

"

Oars in hand we sailed to Lethe -----unmindful

Of the splashing, dashing, rushing----waves.

Selene peers from above, through her silken robe;

Silvery smiles echoe from her rounded face.

As Zephyr playfully touches our curls and blondes

All our charms wraps us in bonds.

Our heart molded bark takes our equivocal poise

The moment we’re in each other’s voice.

Choice, we’ll never run out of Choice

We’ll never be a part of nothingness.

Lovers deeply in-love with each other, sailing onto the river of unmindfulness,
unmindful even of the blissful music of the waves...I can imagine how they will betroth themselves into a more intimacy when they reach Lethe. Surely, everything will be forgotten as they give in to each other...
Romanticist you are Seath, truly! You have painted a very sentimental/passionate images here. You gave me as your reader the desire to oar in hand to the river of concealment, to forget the complexities of realities to just indulge mine self and taste the intensity of love and beyond...The company of the Moon and the playful west wind that blowing both the lovers curly tresses gave me more a feeling of deep nostalgia to romance. And the couplet ending is a thought to ponder.

Excellent write, classmate. You have to give me a copy of this. Handwritten.
