The Salmon's Prayer

The Salmon's Prayer

A Poem by seath

Overwhelming waves greedily engulf till my throat

As I swim convulsively on a river overflowing with

Chunks of wood; shreds of petals deaf with neglect

As they flow in this indefinite coffer ---- (derelict)!

On seeing them I carried on with a twirl and ------a flip,

Till my limbs went troubled with pain and------ fatigue,

Knowing well the curly current in its obstinacy----

No longer did I dare to turn my head back against it.

Though ‘twas tempting, so captivating to hear

The Sirens sing their songs. I carried on, I carried on...

And plunged my dorsals forward while pondering

For ease, I was driven to perpetually wonder,

“Tell me Master, if you were pleased

Or did I assume the form of your beasts.”
