A Siren's SongA Poem by UndyingWyrmAn anthem for the end times
The truth revealed, yet still denied
inside our heads all sit and hide. Discontent ever rising with little art to guide us, the gaping wound of society oozing with pus. Those with no voice, but as smart as the rest; A lost nation rapidly approaching its test. Pass or fail it matters little, Either way trapped; caught right in the middle. Live for yourself but play your part, Always remember to follow your heart. Without life is dull and bleak, Despite power you'll know the meek. An endless quest for empty gain, Even with it enduring never-ending pain. In the darkest times hope shines bright, Waiting for those willing to fight. A game unneeded whatever the say. The world needs martyrs to show them the way. Peace attainable is bitterness subsides, Or war and business will raise the tide. One of death and despair, Living life in fear they must always beware. © 2016 UndyingWyrmAuthor's Note
