Roses For The Forgotten

Roses For The Forgotten

A Poem by Aspiring Angel

Angels wept as roses today were placed . . . upon forgotten graves in a forgotten place

Roses For The Forgotten

Two single red roses were placed today
Within a graveyard lost to visits made
Beside granite cracked and faded names
Someone found my newborns babies graves

Within falling snow the broken stones
Were the only ones to see
Who had placed each single rose
And as they stood their silent ground
A rose for each from the hand was found

In this place of silence where no one goes
Someone had found the time to place each rose
For those who sleep within forgotten land
A single red rose was placed by unknown hands

Who was it that placed these roses today
Within this realm where only silence plays
It is only the stones that will ever know
Whose were the hands
That brushed away cold snow

As the day gave way to night
Within this cemetary
Long lost from sight
Red roses rest in moonlight haze
Upon frozen ground of forgotten graves

Now warmer is the ground below
The single petals that lay upon the snow
For but a day names again were found
Beneath the cold of forgotten ground

These babies forgotten stones
Lay in Virginia City, Nevada USA

The above Picture was taken
By my daughter Kimberly.

She began visiting these little ones
Upon finding them at the back
Of this very old cemetary
On a cold and snowy day
When she
Was only sixteen years old.

She just turned thirty on her birthday
And each time she is in the area
She visits these tiny graves
And leaves her love offering.

On this day she left the pinecones
And brought to me the pictures
Of these little souls resting place
That I had never seen but had
Always heard her speak of.

My Dear Kimberly

No one is left to your world
To visit my little ones that
Became angeles far to soon.

Thank you
For remembering my babies.

From the beyond
We will remember your kindness
And we know each time you come
To leave your love.

Beautiful and sentimental. Touching. You daughter is a treasure. Most people never visit the gravesides of even their loved ones. You child took the time to love someone and seek them out that belonged to no one anymore. Standing ovation to her and to you for your dedication to her and the two forgotten angels.

I am so touched right now!!! I am at a loss for words
which is rare let me tell you..
This was amazing, I sense through your words that
you are such a loving special person, I am very good
at picking up on that vibe!! I now see your
daughter was graced by your warmth!!
I lost a baby so it really moved me..
I am going to hug my little ones now!!
thanks so much..

I have graves of my own I visit but they are of people I knew and loved. These seem to have been twins but the birth years are different, born on New years maybe. I just want to be cremated and have my ashes scattered back to the wind. That way perhaps I'll get to travel the world at last. This was touching.
