Monday's Letter

Monday's Letter

A Poem by Plitman_728

i can feel you in me,

breathless and warm.

a trace of happiness lingers

where your fingertips last touched.

and my skin burns for you,

threatens to melt away without the

glue of your kisses.

kisses that stitch up all the holes in my

mothball birthday suit.

a friendly tailor in pursuit of smiles.

and i toss them out of the suburban window,

50 cents a piece,

like candy for the child in your eyes.

it's the best monday i've had since summer died,

and you pull me faster through the weathered hours.

until the lines blur,

and all the exists is your hand in mine.

breathless and warm.

This stands out to me, "The best Monday I've had since summer died," Quite a Monday it must have been. I know too well what all of those emtions feel like. And I love the way you snipped the ends to make it perfect, this is really good.
