CrackedA Poem by Plitman_728
I'm oblivious to smile,
to teeth fighting through lip, It's a foreign film without script, or sound. A profound medium of black tar on canvas, the addiction overwhelming. Nails bitten to the quick-witted end of a phrase, another day or gesture lost and never seen again. Somersaulting with the sea, end over end over end, into blackness. My empty disguises washed away, leaving my center, a soft-shelled crab, waiting to be dipped in your butter sauce and beer. Years behind the rest, fermented even in my youth. Nail and tooth, nail and tooth, and hair and skin, and dirty root. Reaching into dirty water, and never escaping seed. © 2011 Plitman_728Author's Note
