Losing a loved one

"
It was hard. He didn't know what to do. One day he was just watching Wheel-of-Fortune with his grandma. Little did he know that it was their last day together. He went to school thinking everything was fine. Last week was his birthday and you would think a celebrity came by the way people were still talking about it. When he came home, his grandma wasn't there. He put it off his mind, he thought she was with her elderly friends. When she never came home, he started to freak out. She was his rock in the sea he was stranded in. Only years after his parents got divorced. He asked his mom and she said Grammy had moved on. He noticed mama was crying, she was holding some pamphlets along with a river of tears. At that moment he knew later on he would come check them out. So as the night crawled in and everyone was asleep, He crept downstairs, full of anxiety to what he was to discover. What he found shell shocked him. It shattered his world like shards of glass were cascading from the sky.All he saw was a picture of Grammy with the words Gwendolyn Coleman Funeral. He was heartbroken. Hi true best friend and supporter was gone. The tears flowed like rivers. Mama came downstairs and whispered words and sang to keep her baby calm. She sang. Sang the same songs that she sung when he was curled up in her womb. Just like how he was balled up at that moment. Years passed and he never really recovered. He still wishes Gwendolyn Coleman was alive.

This is a good story, but it could use a little paragraph breaks. Basically after every 2-3 sentences, you have a double carriage-return.

As this is biographical (and biological), I feel for you ... Tommie was my Dad's maid and she died when I was 10. We went to the funeral and I couldn't stop crying.

Loss will always be there and the tears are always there in memory of the good times past ...
