expressions denied

i asked God a million times
why cant i be a star that shine?
why cant i be uncountable miles away?
not virtual yet untouchable and unreachable?
why cant i be a cloud or a rain fall?
a shadow for a burning desert's sand?
or a drop that bears life for a dead land?
or i fall to be the soul of a tree, for ages that stand
or rise as a flower from a helpless bud?
why cant i be a storm or the thunder?
when inside me i have a world that can dazzle?
i have seen all seasons in my spinning soul
from sunshine to storms, from rains to droughts
we masters of camouflage and betraying art
smiling when broken, crying at content
i ask for strength of expression of my soul
i ask for freedom from the caged world
free to turn to whatever i want, whenever i want
free to be no more humanly known...

I like this. It's like why can't be anything you want to be? You can if you put your mind to it. I don't know if you were giving that message or not, but that is what I got. Nice. :D
