Winter's Secret

Winter's Secret

A Poem by askingforposies

The snow will fall,
The snow will blow;
Forever existing,
On high and low.
Here it hides
In the still of night,
Never ing
In the light.

Those who shield
Themselves from cold.
From the dangers
That winters hold
Will never see
The cascading frost,
An enchanting sight,
Forever lost.

It gleefully plays,
Under the stars,
Under the moon
And under mars.
But still they flee
From the snow,
A forbidden scene
They do not know

A snowflake flies,
A delicate dance,
An elegant flutter,
A fleeting trance.
It falls to her,
Who escaped from day,
Lands on her cheek
And melts away.

She flinches not
For she knows,
The snow will fall,
The snow will blow.
