I am waiting

Waiting for that moment

That moment that seems to be

     the only reason for my very existence

That infinitesimal moment

        of time and space

Less than one millionth of a billionth of a second

Less than one millionth of a billionth of a millimeter

So brief … so close it cannot be measured

          in earthly terms

The single indescribably delectable moment

            that will happen

Just before our lips touch

              in ecstasy
