My Words

My words will be like the softest gloves

Stroking and soothing until you let go

Gently pushing and pulling

Kneading softly on your bruised emotions

Until you cannot feel their pain anymore

 

And when you are relaxed

In a state of utter contentment

I will reach out and take your hand

Slowly turning your face to mine

And you will come alive again

I don't know why but for some reason, this reminds me of Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark in Mockingjay, like the only one he and she needs is one another and everything will be alright again despite all the bad things happening around them.
