A Plea

Will you wound me so deeply for your honor avenged

Are you artfully leading me just to get your revenge

Will you torture me slowly until I’m insane

While you and your lover laugh at my pain?

 

Do you need to have payback for the years that have past

Have you planned to get me since you saw me last

I’m afraid if I let you….you’ll take this last chance

And with careful aim … my heart you will lance.

 

I am begging you please, please don’t deceive me

If you have to destroy me….just let me be

I can promise you this, I’ll suffer through life

Knowing I lost you will cut like a knife.

Sometimes we just want to see those people who hurt us to feel the same way we feel...but in the end, when love is still there, forgiveness is the only key to mend the wounds.
