Rainbow

you know, i washed those eyes
with the rainbow dew drops
smiling to me in the sunshine.
i sat as i watched the rainbow form
in the droplets of life,
like multitudes of life screaming to be released from the boughs of faith.
i knew they would come
they would bring the new day,
removing the overcast of grey
setting the mood to red.
i watched them purge the life
to the seldomness of truth and
out of the fair fruits,
came the rainbow.
