The Summer of the Man-EaterA Poem by A. SiemensMy first attempt at writing a poem based on a true story instead of feelings and emotions. About the true story of the Jersey Shore Shark Attacks.
1916, the year it was found out That a creature roamed about A shark that caused death To the humans with breath It was a legend, that came true That caused a horror that grew It killed four people, stealing their breath Only one survived that terrible death Too many saw Too many fall Victims of the legends of old Stories of terror unfold For years have past And yet still, the tales held fast That in 1916, the year it was found out That a terrible creature roamed about. © 2009 A.
