Material Girl

Material Girl

A Poem by asianeaster915
"

A poem about self-worth and finding your identity in Christ rather than material things.

"
Material Girl in the mirror lost and confused
wondering where to go and what to do.

Your locked inside this prison of your mind
thinking your not good enough for space or time.

The beauty you crave cannot be found in the mirror
look deep within your heart and hear the Lord's whisper.

Your make-up and clothes
and the way you do your hair
are only going to fade away.

Your identity can only be found in Christ.
So look to Him for your source of confidence.

Never think less of the image staring back at you.
Because just like The One who made it
your beautiful too.

Uplifting poem with an interesting rhyme scheme. I wish my 14 year old niece was here, I would force her to read it.
