Asked Out

Oh gosh, here he comes again, I think, stay calm stay calm!!! Act like you don't notice him. Jonothan has been attempting to strike up a conversation with me every day for the last week but I tend to be really socially awkward so the conversation never really turns out well.

I don't really understand why Jonothan (Jonno) is even looking at me let alone actually talking to me. Me and my friend group of two tend to be loners. We see the world in a different way to the other kids in our grade. Where as Jonno, he is a Jock. Famous for his 'unbelievable' football skills. All the girls love him except for me.

'So Anna, how was your day today?' he asks.
'Same as always, Jonno' I reply blandly. I'm seriously starting to wonder about this boy. I mean you would think that after 4 days of having the exact same conversation with me then he would give up but no! 'uuuuhhhh...I was just wondering if you wanted to go uhhhhhh catch a movie?...' He stuttered. My mouth literally dropped open at this. Jonothan Mc- archie, Mr Popular, wanted to go on a date with me!!! 'Is this some kind of joke' I exclaim. 'Because if it is I don't want to play along.'
'Uuuugggggghhhhhh!!!! NO. IT. IS. NOT. A. JOKE. I. GENUINELY. LIKE. YOU' Jonno said, throwing his arms up in the air.
I don't know whether it's a good idea to go on this date. I mean, it's not that I don't like him. He is very handsome and he seems nice enough. It's just, I've never been on a date with someone popular before and I don't know if populars do dates differently. Plus, I'm not exactly sure why Jonno is asking me out in the first place. He usually goes out with hot, skimpy blondes, not Geeky, Awkward red heads.  
'I'm sorry, it's just that... the truth is... ummmm... your a jock I'm a geek, do you really think this' I motion between the two of us 'is gonna work.' I say. Jonno looks down at his feet then back up at me. 'Just go out with me and we'll see' he pleads. Now this, is strange. Jonno seems almost nervous. 'F-fine' I finally say. Jonno smiles.
'I'll pick you up on Saturday, at 7?'
'ummmm, ok I live-'
'Don't worry, I already know where you live' My eyes widen. Why does he know where I live? Has he been stalking me? 'Remember? I walked you home on Monday' I feel my cheeks flaring up. I must look like an idiot. 'Umm.. ok, well, see ya' I say as I start to walk away. I feel a hand grip my wrist. Jonno turns me around and opens his mouth as if he wants to say say something. I look at him expectantly. 'Ummm bye' he mumbles and quickly lets go of my hand. I walk away again, breathing heaviliy, wondering  what on earth drove him to ask me out.
