Silently Passing

Silently Passing

A Poem by Ashleyx

The silence provoking

Tempting

Hanging my words on a noose

Squirming and rattling about as they suffocate

Desperately hoping to part my lips and clutch the air

The moment is passing whilst my thoughts are still hammering

With a final shoving

Stumbling

Collapsing just beyond my chin

Slamming into deaf ears and apathetic hearts

Shattering and spreading across the cold floor

Although I have caught the fly, it has died in my palm

Mind slowly slipping

Grasping

Hoping for another chance to scream

Wishing and wanting as a dreaming child

For the promise of another instant to speak

What my hear is always chanting, crying, singing

{Great verse--a very fearful/horrified mood here--great poetry}
