Winds Of the NightA Poem by AshleyxWith the wind of the night These streets come alive Our thoughts take hold of their favorite star They promise no return unless the sun should arrive Our colors, our patterns, our skins and our shades Are reveling in the sounds this city has made This greying old moon can barley light our way So we’ll flash and strobe like those stars who’ve fled He moves She shakes I stop We fall The sun announces her arrival with a watercolor show Our stars return those thoughts with a small fee of a crash The ecstasy of our affair is all too regrettable No promises of redemption, this lesson is forgettable © 2010 AshleyxReviews
