TELL ME

TELL ME

A Poem by Asra Hakak

When the blood fell into the jhelum dying it ruby red spreading like a spider web!
Tell me, didn't it haunt you?

When you made a mother wail helplessly over the dead body of her 21 year old son!
Tell me, didn't you knew the curse of breaking a mother's heart?

When your gun aimed the chest of an innocent little kid!
Tell me, had you forgotten the warmth of the hug of your own child?

When hundreds and thousands of dreams were blinded by you!
Tell me, didn't you realize your eyes of humanity were blinded too?

When you didn't even let us bury our dead in solitude!
Tell me , didn't it made you fear how you would meet your end?

When you are busy doing your occupation!
Tell me, do you realize you are the biggest disgrace to the human race?
