Mom

A Story by ashlyn vik
"

this is a poem to my mom

"

You said you'd be there for me, but where are you now? You told me you'd love me forever, but you never showed me how. You steal my money, and pawned our stuff; what kind of love is that? You said "I'll be there when you need me." but where are you at? you said you loved me; that I'll never be hated...so why now do I feel so isolated? Your love is the past. Its almost faded. You knew that everything you did wrong I hated. So tell me because its now or never. Is our life and love gone forever?
