Road Block

Road Block

A path you can't continue to walk on to

Road Block

I had followed a direction towards you,
A path I found, from my own point of view.
Just from a single glance that started it all
But took a detour right on where I was about to fall.

A good vantage point, one that I have never found
And this compass of mine, seems just going round and round
Running to a track with no real destination,
And headed towards unrequited affection.

Maybe there was never a crossroad built for us to meet,
And I was just walking alone with my bare feet.
But now is the time for me to turn my back
Straight away from this long road that I have to block.
