The SilenceA Poem by ashleymarie
The snow may lie on the ground
As if I could sit here and lay- No words, no sound No worries No need to hurry But for some reason, I cannot enjoy the given silence It's like my peace has been trapped in some odd fence I attempt to escape But it seems to be my fate I can't run, nor hide I can't pretend to own pride I'm uncertain So I hide behind the curtains There is no hope for me For hopelessness is my specialty.
