I'd rather

I'd rather

A Poem by ashleymarie

Ah, to breath in this air
It's nothing to compare
To the death it could have been
Lying there underground in a bin
Waiting to disintegrate
I'd just be beetle bait

I walk the moon
Floating like a helium filled balloon
So dazed out
Nothing to worry about
It's all good
But then I drop. No, it's not all good, We're all so misunderstood

Nobody takes the time
To sit back and unwind
Try to understand
You don't know me, I'm not bland

You know what, forget about it
Don't worry about it
I don't f*****g matter anyway
Any day

No, because I rather decay
Than continue to be afraid.
