Hope?

Hope?

A Poem by ashleymarie

Passing on by like a tumbleweed
In a life where no one succeeds
But when you really think about it
When is it time to quit
To throw in the rag
God, life is such a drag
People tell you that they love you
You ask 'But do you?'
We tend to tune things out
Because we are drenched in doubt
When we really should be tuning in
Instead we lock everything away in a pin
Shut your mouth and throw away the key
Just like we promised our mommys
How long can that key be in hiding?
Your secrets are flowing, shining
We can ALL see right through you
Tell me you'll stay true
Don't be altered
Do not falter
Let people know your story
Make them understand you in your glory
I may not take my own advice
But that's just me, I roll the dice
This is not about me though
Let yourself glow.

Strong words and thoughts in the poem.
"I may not take my own advice
But that's just me, I roll the dice
This is not about me though
Let yourself glow."
Your words hold wisdom and truth. Don't allow anyone to block your hopes and dreams. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I like your poetry. Feel of real life and you are welcome.
Thank you. Most of my poems don't show a lot of hope or encouraging words. Sometimes you have to switch things up!

This one has much more life and hope in it :)
I like the way it picks up pace and gives a final push, while you still show, you are there.
