Mister Moon.

Mister Moon.

A Poem by Ashley Simonne

I whisper to the pale moon out of reach,
Tell of my undying jealousy.
Only he knows of who I strive to be,
My unspoken truths jealousy lies beneath.

Oh my dear Mister Moon you know my dreams,
You know even the deepest hatred I have.
Is for myself; for the good is consumed by the bad,
I feel as though I’m falling apart at the seams.

Mister Moon, could you lasso all the stars,
And give me every ounce of thier beauty.
But that fallen angel would still beat me,
Even stars can’t hide these God-given scars.

Mister Moon, I know you hear her secrets too,
And I won’t blame you if you stare.
But change her, don’t you dare,
Her perfection might be the only thing in view.

I’d give up even you mister moon,
To be anything like that angel,
Her perfection is more than I can handle.
Oh, are you even listening Mister Moon?

Or are you deaf to me, too?
