Porcelain Doll.

Porcelain Doll.

A Poem by Ashley Simonne

There’s an echo throughout the house,
From the tears of the sky.
She opens her window but closes two more,
She is being kept in consciousness and she doesn’t know why.

The pieces of a once beautiful doll,
Lie shattered in a bed full of nightmares.
She’s left on her own to put herself back together,
To fix her; for that no one cares.

Her painful past has made her so fragile,
She’s demolished and craves so dearly to be strong.
As she falls into her deepest of dreams,
There she realizes she’s had beauty inside of her all along.
