A Walk in Heaven

A Walk in Heaven

As I look out into the fields of everlasting I see colors that I've never seen before,
I thought in my mind I didn't know there were such amazing things like this in Heaven to explore.
My eyes were filled with beauty and I could see peace everywhere,
I felt so overwhelmed with the presence of love that was shared.
I could feel the warmth of the heavenly light on my face,
It felt so soothing and I could feel God's grace.
I could even see the beautiful mountains covered with the brightest green,
I knew I was walking through my everlasting home and I thought to myself this is so real and it can't be a dream.
From a far I seen the beautiful faces I haven't seen in a while,
I knew they were my family and friends and they welcomed me with a smile.
They kept telling me to come on into heaven a little further,
So I kept walking down the golden paths and this experience wasn't like no other.
I could smell the sweetest smell that automatically came to mind as pure happiness,
I've smelt good things before but this was by far the best.
On the sides of me I could see waterfalls and rainbows,
I was definitely getting wrapped up in heaven the further I would go.
I looked up in front me and I say the most peaceful image of a man,
I had to blink twice because I knew who He was when He reached out to me with His scarred hands.
As soon as I saw that , I feel to my knees and touched His feet,
I knew then I was home forever and then He lifted me.
Jesus told me that I made it and I'm in the right place,
I simply replied back saying, I knew this was my home when I saw your face.
