Take Me to the AltarA Poem by Ashley Dawn Proctor
Take Me to the Altar
By: Ashley Proctor Take me to the altar and let me pray, God relieve me from my sins and guide me the right way. I haven't be as good as I needed to be, Lift me up and show me the track that's best for me. For I have sinned and I'm confessing them to you my Lord, I know you will forgive me and help me soar. Knowing you are here and you will forgive, In Jesus Christ I will live. As my tears flow down my face and I beg for mercy, Jesus is all I need and want to see. I know I did wrong and I need your love, You're my Savior and I know you will lift me up. As the preacher puts his hands on me and says a prayer, I know God will work through us both to make it better. When I walk away from the altar and back to my seat with a smile on my face, I'll look up to Heaven and thank God for His grace. © 2015 Ashley Dawn ProctorReviews
