Where I Am Today

Where I Am Today

A Poem by Ashley Dawn Proctor

Where I Am Today

Dedicated to my Nanny

Where I am today is peaceful and there is no fear,
Where you are today I see tear after tear.
I'm okay where I'm at today,
I'm walking along the golden fields listening to what Jesus has to say.
I have no more pain or worry here,
I'm free now and I cry no more tears
I watch over you where I'm at today to make sure you're getting through the days okay.
I know it's hard without me in the world you're living in,
I'm here beside you like I've always been,
You may not see me or hear me
speak,
But I can see you from this mountain peak.
I'm with you through everything,
I can't wait until you hear the angels sing .
I dance and dance here in this place with loved ones,
I can't wait for you to come dance with me and watch the rising sun.
Where I am today all I do is smile,
I get to walk with Jesus mile after mile.
I miss you a lot because I want you here,
I don't want you on Earth shedding tears.
I am waiting patiently for you to arrive,
In Heaven you will feel so alive.
The way I had to leave you wasn't the way I wanted to,
You will be with me again I promise to you.
For now I'm waiting to see your face,
As you walk into Heaven through the Pearly Gates.
Don't worry you'll be with me soon,
If you ever get to missing me look at the moon.
I'm in Heaven today listening to what Jesus has to say,
Where I am today I have no more pain and I'm okay.
Go on with your life and make me proud like I'm there with you,
I'll be watching your dreams come true with everything you do.
I love you and miss you where I am today,
But stay strong for me and you'll be with me one day listening what Jesus has to say.
