Golden Gates

Golden Gates

A Poem by ashweejune

I’ve taken all that I can take

You know just what is at stake

Let me hang another night

But by god, I now see the light

I’m done with all the sad, sad songs

A ghost I’ve seen is all I see

I’ll turn around and not look back

Don’t bother yelling my name

I’m gone, its over and done

I’m through with this pathetic word called life

There is nothing left for me

Because if I stay, I’ll go insane

I hope my dreams slowly crumble

So I won’t have to regret this

I hope my family understands

Im not going to be ok
