Twisted Love

Twisted Love

A Poem by ashweejune

Digging fingertips into the back of my wrist

Holding me tight without a hope of letting go

Easing my body against yours once more

Falling into place like we never left the floor

Rose petals touching the bottoms of our feet

Rain pouring down on top of us

Bite my lip and you lick the blood

You’re every piece of me

My arms tightly around you now

Staring into your deep blue eyes

Barely knowing what I’m doing you take me away

To a place far, far away

We’re lying in the grass

With moonlight skies and bright stars shinning down

Your lips and eyes the only thing I can see

But I recognize every piece of you with a single second

My hands gently stroke your bare chest

All I want is to keep this moment forever

You softly lean in towards me

As you put your hands on my face

You say you love me

And pull my face right into yours

For a moment I cannot breathe

But breathing seems so unsatisfying

My love cannot escape you

I’m falling more into you and your holding me close

I can feel your heartbeat racing

All I want to do is hold you close like this forever

The sun is beginning to come up

As I hear the motor roaring outside

And wake up to find

It was just another dream
