What about you?

What about you?

A Poem by ashweejune

She feels used, she feels unwanted

She has a fake smile on each day

No one knows what she hides deep inside

The lineless that she has felt

For as long as she can remember

Will no one listen, will no one help?

She thinks of what her life would be like

If she could have been in someone else’s shoes

Will no one listen, will no one help?

She has a few friends, but not really any true friends

They don’t seem to notice her

They don’t seem to really care

Will no one listen, will no one help?

Her family is hard to please

But she’s even more down on herself

She wants to be the best

To make them proud

Will no one listen, will no one help?

She cries out each night

Wishes upon each star in the sky

That one day, someday soon,

She will find someone to hold her and wipe her tears
