My Grandpa, I miss you

My Grandpa, I miss you

A Poem by ashweejune
"

RIP 2008

"

I flip through old albums, and see your smiling face

I do not cry, because I know you wouldn’t want me to

I wish you were sitting next to me

Instead of far away from me

I miss you its true

I love you more than anything I could ever put into words

A poet of the greatest wouldn’t began to explain it

I never wanted you to leave

I always wished I could change things

Even though we are apart

I will always feel you deep in my heart

I wish I would have been there

To say my goodbye

But now you roam the sky

And with wings of an angel you fly

While your spirit will remain with each of us

I know you’re better up there watching over us

I’ve got our memories and dreams

And some pictures I’ve never seen

But better than that and best of all

I’ve got you in my heart

An imprint that is forever craved in me
