Child abuse

Child abuse

A Poem by Ashley Mae.
"

The horrors of hitting a child.

"

The swing of a fist,
The scream of a girl,
The wail of sirens,
The sobs at a funeral.
She died for every child
abused by a parent.
She died for every child
who ever let a tear fall.
She died for every child
struggling to satisfy a parent.
But in the long run
She died to prove a point;
Child abuse is murder
That just hasn't happened yet.

I like it. Short and to the point, but great!

This is a very well-written piece. Deep and to the point on the horrors of child abuse. Have you allowed your parents to see this? I'd bet they'd be proud of your talent! Good job!

I would say you are very good at writing and making a strong statement as in this poem. Child abuse can be prevented and abuse should never be tolerated in any way, shape or form. Good write. Thank you for sharing. Debileah

Wow. That have me goosebumps. Minor spelling error: "prove," not "proove." Other than that... Wow. That was seriously chilling.
