Purposefully Lonely

Purposefully Lonely

A Poem by AshleyDeyPoetry
"

I am really very flawed.

"

What a deeply flawed creature

Constantly craving and seeking affection

Yet often turning it away

Opting to be the thing she fears most

Alone

Dark brown eyes and hair to match

Short stature, small figure

Barely noticeable at all

Often so deep inside her own thoughts

That reality slips away

She is a light

That is slowly burning out

Growing sad and closed off

Somehow remaining hopeful

Against all odds

She is a hopeful pessimist

Though she would say she is realistic

Never truly able to decide

If it’s worth it to dream at all

What a deeply flawed creature
