Sun and shadows

Sun and shadows

A Poem by Ashlee

Why does the sun shine?

To eradicate shadows

Covering the path of mine.

Why are the shadows dim?

That I am afraid

Of what might be within.

What if I lived in darkness?

To be afraid of sun

And the dim harmless.

What if I burned by day?

My sight gone

And in dark I prey.

Who was to choose my life?

For me to live in full light.

And sleep through dark night.

Intresting poem, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, there's some mistery to it, even though its message seems quite clear. Personally I loved the last stanza, very good work, excellent writing. :)
