Ursula's Deal

Ursula's Deal

A Poem by Ashley Rachelle
"

This was a poem I did using a spin off the little mermaid with a different/original ending as a metaphor. It does not have to be Ariel that you think of, comment what you think she/he became or was.

"

The ocean is silent,

Alone and free,

Crashing to the sound

Of my lonely heartbeat.

The waves slam in,

To the shore of my dreams,

Covering my hope,

As the wind sings.

The sky, falling,

As dawn breaks,

I still sit on the sand,

Safe from heartbreak.

My feet sink in,

As I let the waves take me,

Back to the ocean,

Cold and frigtening.

I then transform,

Back to myself,

Alone, Drowing,

In a sea of Hell.

My tail wet and slimy,

I cringe at the sight,

Wishing I was back at the shore,

That it was not the last night.

But I swim past my home,

To finish my deal,

No longer will I speak,

Nor love, or heal.
