He loves me not

He loves me not

A Poem by Ashley Rachelle
"

Just a quick draft of a poem I wrote. Just messing around with the idea of the flower pedals and game we all knew from when we were growing up.

"
He loves me!
He loves me not :(
The words travel in my brain over and over

He asks me out!
Wait, other people are coming?
The tunnels of confusion never end.

Everywhere I turn there is a new opening
And closing.
Can I just hide now?

No! I can't escape it
I can't run away,
I can't forward the clock to when he makes up his mind

So I'll make it for him
With the flowers I hold,
He loves me not.

The ending came as somewhat of a surprise. Feelings for others can lead to shyness, confusion and doubt though. But sometimes we find out we were right later on. :)
