The First Winter

This is a poem from Hades point of view about the story in Greek Mythology about him and Persephone.

Beautiful as the sun,

Dark as the moon,

The woman in front of me,

Is like a monsoon.

 

She thrashes into my heart,

Like a wave on the shore,

Queen of Spring,

She makes me want more.

 

Against her will,

She fell under me,

Now she is mine,

Six months till she is free.
