A Poem by Ashesh
"

how would it be to live life by themes of music..

"

Wish my…

thoughts were assorted as Symphony,

perception had depth of Jazz,

pain rich as Blues,

soul pure as Opera,

heart was of Folk

Wish I could…

drain through Grunge,

explode like Punk,

ramble a Rap,

be happy like Disco,

Wish I was…

glorious as Rock n’ Roll,

rebellious like Reggae,

liberated like a Glitter,

eye of Alternative,

stylish as Trip-hop,

chilled as Hip-hop,

rhythm of Afrobeat,

a yogi in Trance,

avant-garde idea of Experimental,

peace messenger of World Music,

free flowing verse of Singer-Songwriter,

catchy tune of Indie Pop.

Love the characterization of the music genres. Music is what keeps me alive, almost more than writing, and half of my writing wouldn't exist without music. You did a good job, and the music theme is a great one that most people can tune into (hah, a pun). It wasn interesting way to express the speaker's wishes for his life. And I like that you didn't stick to one genre, which made it more universal, and anyone can relate. Plus, it makes it fun for the reader to lick out their favorite music types, which keeps them reading to the end. I was sad when it was over.

Good write, adn thanks for the RR. Sorry if it took me a while to get to it. I go through my RRs based on who sends them first, so I had a lot to get through. I haven't been ignoring your RRs, I promise.
